Big Spiral History, year 1
Build the history of everything into your home — and into your family’s memory. Four mornings a week, you’ll receive a quick (3–5 minute) video of a story from history, each told in a different genre, and placed in the “history memory palace” built throughout your house. By the end of the year, your family will have the great thread of life, the universe, and everything inside your heads, and be able to connect everything you learn to history.
DAILY COURSE
Short daily videos (and transcripts, and more) delivered to your inbox, 4 days a week
MIXED AGES
Designed for people 8–18; can be used with younger kids and adults
Econ is Weird
Spot the secret patterns that make society work — and reconsider almost everything you believed about how to change it. In this Socratic seminar, students read one chapter a week from Charles Wheelan’s amazing Moral Economics, asking questions whose answers overturn how everyone assumes the world works. This is a college-prep class: you’ll learn to read a nonfiction book closely, and to think clearly about controversial topics. By the end, you’ll have a better understanding about how you might help mend the world.

Learning in Depth Quest
Take one (seemingly dull!) topic, and learn how to turn it into a world wonder, research, creativity, and personal meaning. In this 12-week, mentor-guided quest, you’ll receive a randomly-assigned topic and follow a four-part journey from curiosity to serious research, creative play, and to creating a final masterpiece. Along the way, you’ll learn how to follow questions across books, Wikipedia, LLMs, academic research, art, experts, and other sources — building a set of thinking tools you can use to learn nearly anything in depth.
